Great photos and memories! Hard to believe it was 28 years ago Even harder to believe Montreal's Expo 67 was 47 years ago! Where do those years go?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6169991008427984205.post-78040389486143794662014-04-01T18:49:36.850-07:002014-04-01T18:49:36.850-07:00Yep. You are right. I'll correct those errors....Yep. You are right. I'll correct those errors. Isn't Boundary Road where Burnaby begins? I wondered a bit for a moment when I captioned the monorail. Thanks.Colin Patersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13888182788601492758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6169991008427984205.post-57808944371180060672014-04-01T18:20:59.297-07:002014-04-01T18:20:59.297-07:00You've brought back lots of great memories Col...You've brought back lots of great memories Colin but I have two minor corrections.

Empire Stadium was not in Burnaby. It was at the east end of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) grounds, which is still well inside Vancouver. Burnaby city limits start at Boundary Road, which is three blocks east of the PNE.

The caption identifying SkyTrain is wrong. The photo shows the temporary monorail installed by a Swiss company for the duration of the fair. When Expo 86 was over, the monorail was dismantled and reassembled in England.
